KEEN Apple Cinnamon Donuts

Ingredients:
1 cup KEEN Apple Cinnamon Mix
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter – melted and cooled
1 large egg
½ cup sugar
1/4 cup milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup unsweetened applesauce
1 cup fresh apple – grated 

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F

2. In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and KEEN Apple Cinnamon Mix.  Set aside

3. In separate larger bowl, whisk together the butter, egg, granulated sugar, milk and applesauce.  Mix until just combined

4. Stir in grated apples then stir in the dry ingredients from step 2.  Transfer batter to large Ziploc bag or piping bag.  If using a Ziploc bag, squeeze out all the air and snip one corner, creating a small hole.

5. Spray the donut pan with a non-stick cooking spray.  Squeeze batter into cavities of pan and bake for 12-14 minutes.  Remove to rack to cool

6. When donuts have cooled sprinkle with powdered sugar

7. Store any leftovers in a container with a tight- fitting lid.  Best when enjoyed within 24 hours
